Hong Kong International Photo Festival, a biennial spectacular within the Hong Kong photography field, will be held this year from October to November, featuring six large-scale exhibitions in total. Photography lovers and average citizens alike will be invited to look back on the local development of photography in Hong Kong. Meanwhile, it also sheds light on the latest global trend in the field. With an aim to further cultivate local photography, it will also hold an array of activities that target young photographers and the public, as a way to encourage photo taking in the city. The two-month long Hong Kong Photo Festival not only takes on the responsibility of introducing the excellent local photographers, but also gradually becomes the most important exchange platform for the photographic culture in Asia.
